American film and television actor Billy Campbell has been a familiar face on screen since the 1980s. From his breakthrough role on TV’s Dynasty to his film debut in 1991’s The Rocketeer, Campbell’s credits include Ghost Town with Ricky Gervais, Enough with Jennifer Lopez, The O.C., Once and Again, Bram Stroker’s Dracula, Melrose Place and many more. From 2011-2012, Campbell starred in the critically acclaimed AMC television series The Killing and he returned for the final season on Netflix as well.

Campbell starred in Matthew Lillard’s directorial debut, Fat Kid Rules The World, a comedy that won the Narrative Feature Spotlight Audience Award at the 2012 SXSW Film Festival. Campbell returned to Atlantic Canada for the American Civil War feature film Copperhead, followed by performances in films The Scribbler and The Red Knot and on the TV movie Delirium. He currently plays Dr. Allen Faraggut on Helix and was on the TV series Lizzie Borden after his performance on the special, Lizzie Borden Took an Axe.
In 2005, Campbell took time off from acting to circumnavigate the globe on a sailing trawler. He joined the crew of the 179-foot long The Picton Castle, which sailed from Lunenburg, NS, to the South Pacific and back. A passionate sailor, The Disappeared combines his love of acting with this love for the sea.
FACT: When Ollie was sailing the week before the premiere of The Disappeared, he and the crew came upon an overturned boat off of Martha’s Vineyard, saving the swimming crew from imminent death.
